About

I’ve always had an interest in functional design. I guess it’s because I’m interested in how, we, as human beings filter and decode all the data that gets thrown at us.

I also have to try and figure things out. Combine that with my built-in compulsion to zoom in on the sweet spot between creativity and logic. The fact that I am interested in everything (perfect generalist) it’s no surprise that I ended up working in multimedia.

I have a knack for planning large, technologically challenging systems and love ensuring that the functionality works hard for the company that I’m doing work for.  My innate interest in information means that I’m compelled to follow a user-centric approach.

About me

I love to travel and experience new places and cultures but after moving 7 times in 9 years, living in 4 countries and travelling to many more. I’m really happy to be back in South Africa, my home country. Living like a nomad takes it’s toll after a while and I can’t wait to settle down. I just need to find the perfect job to complete my move.

Being back in South Africa means that I can spend more time with my favourite hobby. Macro photography.

My interest in functional design, and missing to get my hands dirty, got me into jewellery making as a serious hobby in 2004. Dealing with real-world usability problems with making jewellery helps me approach interaction problems on websites with fresh eyes.
